About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn new languages and to make learning languages fun and efficient for my students.

ABOUT ME

I'm extrovert, sprinter rather than marathon runner and, like many people, need company and new impressions as much as quiet thinking time alone.

*
I'm torn between the desire to learn and comprehend everything in the world and the physical impossibility of this enterprise.

So I pack my life full with work, conversations, books, films, etc. and hope that even if I never find the answer to the question about "Life, the Universe and Everything", it can still be fun trying to get there.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies - "Das Leben der Anderen", "Sonnenallee", "Jenseits der Stille". I also love Soviet classics, world animation (Soviet and Russian, French, Japanese, etc.) and short films.

Music - Georges Brassens and many many others.

Books - "Atonement" by Ian McEwan, "Life of Lilianna Lungina" by Oleg Dorman, "Summerbook" by Tove Jansson, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Siberian pines so high you can't imagine where they end, while locals tell you that when they were young, they used to climb them and jump from one branch to another.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to cook a fishpie, cut a pomegranate so that it opens like a flower, and how to read and speak Russian or French.

I'd love to learn piano improvisation.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Netherlands, Spain, Taiwan, Ukraine, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Kazakhstan, Russian Federation, Switzerland
