I'm Ana and i'm portuguese, nice to meet you :)
Well, i'm licenced in psychology, I want to meet people and understand other cultures because what they taught me in school was to small for the size of this world. I'm 21 years old and I want to get to know people that probably can become friends for life, I want to challenge myself, learn everthing I can, share cultures and smiles, travel, know the world.
I used to work in a retail shop, I did a lot of volunteer work, I tutored kids and I was part of a drama company. Now that's all gone because I'm about to start my bigest aventure: a 6 months trip to Europe!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'm going on a long-trip to Europe for 6 months and one of the main goals for this trip is to see the great wonders of the old continent but from the perspective of a local. What a better way to know and understand a country than by meeting the people who live there and living like them? Also I want to step out of my confort zone, meet new and different cultures and people, share smiles and laughs. :D I'm not gonna lie I say that it doesn't help me with my travel budget because it does but most of all I can get a life experience that otherwise I wouldn't get.

* I drink and live art: drama, photography, dancing, manual arts, graphic design.
* I love: volunteering and be apart of social projects, travelling and be with nature, socializing with people, participate in outdoor activities and radical sports (it's a secret passion of mine) like hiking and climbing. And eat, i really love to eat. I also get really imerse when I'm reading or watching a tv show or a movie.
* Ps: I'm also a hug person, I love hugging but don't be afraid, I know the meanning of personal space and I only do it when I have some thrust with the person.

Favorite music - I don't have it because I have a song for every mood, every time of the day... but I have a sweet spot for rock music.

Favorite movie - The Sixth Sense and I love action, comedy, DC/Marvel, and drama movies.

Favorite Books - "The Edge of Never" and "The Edge of Always" by J. A., Redmerski and books basead on true stories.

Favorite tv shows - The Big Bang Theory, Family Guy, Supernatural, The Flash, Arrow, Once Upon a Time, The Originals.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

There are two things that I'm really proud of doing. One is that I never gave up my dream, I always wanted to do a long trip alone throught Europe and I'm about to do it!!!! There were a lot of bumps, a lot of fears, a lot of people telling me "don't do it" but I went forward and I did it. The second is that in my short live I can say that I've had so far a fulfilled life: I have a family and friends who love me, I volunteered in a kindergarden, I tutored children, I was a children body expression teacher, I was part of a drama company were I learnt what it is responsability and gained a second family. Yeah... I really do feel proud and gratefull for those amazing things.

I can share my culture, my curiosity, my interest in seeing the world, my cooking skills (I'm not a chef but I can make a decent meal (: and, not to brag, but portuguese food is one of the best in the world), my appreciation for being my hosts and most of all, we can share the great wonders of my host's country.
