I grew up traveling at a young age and am somewhat culturally confused as I was born from a country where I don't speak the language, am a US citizen but I grew up all around Europe and for part of my life in Japan.

I now live in the beautiful and amazing city of Chicago where we put up with the winter so we can enjoy the beautiful summer and fall(my personal favorite).

I am a journalism major and an avid reader of books mainly set in cities I am not currently in to somewhat quench my traveling thirst when I'm not actually on a plane.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well I recently decided to quench my thirst for travel again. I have a need to explore, walk different paths, peruse different book stores, try out local food, meet new people, and have new adventures!

Maybe its because of the way I grew up but I believe its just in my blood :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I am writing this profile late and the list is quite long. A wrinkle in time and harry potter were childhood favorites. The sea the sea by iris Murdoch. I am currently reading Fima by Amos Oz. I'll have to update this part later when it is not 3:00am in the morning :p

As far as music I enjoy classical, blues, rock, electronic, pop, indie...anything that I can get in the mood for and like really. I love going to concerts and festivals from time to time as well!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went ziplining in Puerto Rico recently...that was amazing for me at less since I'm scared of heights!

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to and am going to start learning fencing. And I'm taking up French as well :)

As far as what I can share is my excitement for life, culture, and adventure.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I live with two roommates so they would have to be on board as well but its summertime in Chicago and one of the best times to enjoy the city! We typically host friends from out of town so we are also open to hosting a bit as well during the summer. Or I can just show you around the city as well :)
