About Me

I have been in DC for the past 3 years and so far I still feel I am a new citizen in the jungle. So much to see and explore still. Love the Smithsonian chain, I still have a few spots to visit.
I love experiencing all this country has to offer. All the crazy, weird, and fun ways to enjoy it like apple picking, thanksgiving, tailgating, March madness, Halloween, others? please send me more ideas.
I absolutely love learning about anything and especially about other cultures, trying new food, and traveling. I have been very fortunate to travel and live in many countries across different cultures since very very young. I guess I am a very open-minded person, though I still have and love to have cultural shocks because it reminds how great and diverse this world is and loving people we are. If I wouldn´t surprise every time I travel, I just wouldn’t do it. Period.
I am very calm and laid back, though a bit of planning is always good to squeeze the most!
I have always cooked; I think I started very young- like 6? And I absolutely do love cooking for my love ones and dearest people. I am always looking for new recipes. Big plans for the future: I´d love to start a business for a restaurant, a bakery, a coffee shop, something like that, not sure with what I´d start with, first.
I also love photographing. One day I´ll be a photographer and be paid for it. That´s another business I still have to plan. All my trips have thousands of pictures, and I just enjoy walking with my camera and picture all the spots I find interesting, different, emotionally attractive, and bucolic.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I think it is a genuine way to meet local people when traveling and make new friends... I am tired of hostels full of young kids getting drunk and loud. I guess I got old!

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite food, love Asian flavors, colors and the combination of all these different spices, and coconut milk, and cilantro, and spices from the silk road. Oh! I also love making my own pasta, gnochiss, ravioli, tagliatelle… more…
Movies, I love all Almodóvar movies, and the Secret in her eyes are some memorable ones. The streets of Philadelphia, I recently re-watched and it is truly one of the greatest movies ever
Some authors I love are Julio Cortázar, Gabo Garcia Marquez, Mario Benedetii, Ernesto Sabato, JLBorges, Cristina Bajo, I can´t remember more…
I am looking for recommendations about tv shows, books, and music. Yes music is something I am always taking notes to look it up. Pink Floyd, the Cure, Depeche mode, Ojos de Brujo, Kiko Veneno, Concha Buika, Fito Paez, Soda!, Mimi Maura, all the bossanova guys and girls, Federico Leopoldo, Piazzolla….
