Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To open up my head so wide it hurts from how open it become. To breath the air you breath and realize how diffrent life would be, if I had but been born in a different city, but never regret only enjoy. Most importantly, to collect memories.
ABOUT ME
An overview of my character is a hard thing to give, but I will assume you can guess at it, as is expected, by taking away tentative personality traits from my little comments and writing style.
Easy going, sweet, independent and kind. Stubborn and sarcastic at times.
I know, I rhyme.
[I have a story that might give you an idea of what I'm like: I once arrived late one night to San Francisco, once the taxi dropped me off this man offered to help with my bags, asked for money and stole my wallet. I immediately dropped my things and ran after him. I thought obscene curse words but yelled out "excuse me sir!" instead, right as I was about to grab his shoulder he said he just wanted change and dropped my wallet to the ground. He only got 7 dollars, and I got my wallet back :)]
Born in an island, moved to another island once I finished high school. I am a big fan of meeting new people. Always have been extremely sociable. I tend to be a little overwhelming sometimes, because I can be extremely talkative, but don't worry, I check myself.
I use dancing as an excuse to travel, so I've been to many places. My family also loves to travel, so I've been able to since very young.
I love to have experiences, try something new, do something dangerous, but never out of control. I'm respectful, and won't go out of line.
PHILOSOPHY
I can't give you a philosophy in a nut shell at the moment, my mind is in too many places. I'm still discovering who I am and what I really think and feel...I surprise myself often.
Two things though:
1. "O de los que creen vivir despiertos, ignorando que solo esta de veras cuerdo el que tiene conciencia de estar soñando, como solo esta de veras cuerdo el que tiene conciencia de su locura" from La Vida es Sueño por Pedro Calderon (google translate it)
and
2. "Here’s harmony!" said she; "here’s repose! Here’s what may leave all painting and all music behind, and what poetry can only attempt to describe! When I look out on such a night as this, I feel as if there could be neither wickedness nor sorrow in the world; and there certainly would be less of both if the sublimity of Nature were attended to, and people were carried more out of themselves by contemplating such a scene." (this is a Jane Austen quote, I am a huge fan, and I mean it)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm going to be backpacking through Europe for 3 months and decided it was the perfect time to finally couchsurf. I always wanted to meet people from around the world and the idea of couchsurfing was extremely appealing. It just seems like the right moment to see what it's like.
Hopefully, in the future (Spring 2012), when I move out of the dorms and into my own apartment, Ill be able to host some wonderful people in NYC. :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: i love going to small venue shows the most, but I also adore going to concerts and big festivals. im going to Benicasim in July!
I like to listen to classical music at times, but I really love rock and electronic music. World music is pretty damn cool too. a few bands from a huge list: Beirut, Mum, Bombay Bycicle Club, Arctic Monkeys, Of Montreal, Miranda, Yann Tiersen, Air, and way too many more.
Books: I was always an abid reader, but then I stoped. As of January 2011 Ive been reading pretty consistently though
favorites: Una Muerte anunciada, catcher in the Rye, Jane Ayre, Northanger Abbey, The Giver, House of Leaves, Animal Farm. the Zoo Story, Harry Potter, and the twins series from dragonlance :P
Film: too many, but for now Amorres Perros, Amelie, Midnight in Paris, Fargo, Memento, Zoolander, Pulp Fiction, City of God, a Clockwork Orange, Enter the Void, Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, and many more
Woody Allen, The Coen Brothers, Quentin Tarantino, wes Anderson, you know, just like everybody else does, and its all alright.
