I am a biologist. I was teaching high school biology but I am on a year sabbatical... I sold everything I had and I am headed to New Zealand and Australia. I don't have a plan but something will come up.

I am traveling for a year on my own and would like to meet people and find out the interesting things to do in various places.

I love hiking and camping but I also love big cities and going to museums and plays. I started to teach myself how to bake and miss my kitchen... miss making bread and cookies!

Music is not my thing.. I listen to podcasts.. Radio lab and other geeky things. I like reading fiction, currently into reading biographies. When I travel I hit a lot of audio books.

I taught myself how to quilt and finished my first one in in eight weeks by hand... the amazing thing is that all the pieces were the right size and the pattern worked out!

I can teach basic bread making, anyone willing to risk more adventurous baking I am always willing to try!
