About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learning and travelling

ABOUT ME

I don't know how to describe myself, and that's why I always end up asking people what they think of me. I'm just a student, studying international relations and economics. Always eager to experience or learn about a different culture, about a different kind of dancing (the latest one I am amazing with is belly dancing!), and a different kind of music.

PHILOSOPHY

Little things don't matter. Don't get angry if you didn't want pickles and you got them, or that your coffee is not the way you wanted. Relax! It's not worth sweating the small stuff.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My friend Charlene and I couch surfed in Paris. We met great people, and our experience was memorable! It's time I paid back the favor to the universe for making everything work out for Charlene and I in Paris.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My two best friends and I had planned to take a trip to a museum for "Brunch with Bach." The way to the museum is very similar to getting to the airport...so one comment of "I wish we were going somewhere right now" turned into a trip to another US state! We went to the airport, asked every airline what the cheapest ticket anywhere in the US was, and went there......and came back within 24 hours! To end up taking a flight out of a whim? Priceless! It was one of the craziest but best experiences I've had.

I think the greatest moments are those that remind you that human nature can never cease to amaze you. What has left me awestruck? I will never forget the day when I was volunteering for an event, and an older lady who spoke little English, wanted to show her appreciation for my help somehow...so she tapped my shoulder and when I turned to her, she was holding out her hand. She opened it, where she had an emerald green ring that she wanted to give me as a 'thank you' gift. The ring was simple, it broke after wearing it a couple of times, but it's my favorite piece of jewelry I own. We couldn't communicate through language, but there were no barriers, because there cannot be any barriers to understanding if you keep an open heart.
