Hi everyone! I'm Anais, I'm French and British and I love to meet new people and learn new things. I love to cook from a lot of different cultures and I love to read and go to the cinema but I also love to run and go on hikes and discover the world and live as many adventures as I can!
I'm very curious and depending on the mood very chatty or very calm!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’ve travelled in Australia and New Zealand when I was younger with an awesome friend. (Hence the nice reviews from 8 years ago^^) But we mostly did "helpx / workaway" there (working a few hours a day in exchange of food and accomodation) and we met so many interesting and lovely people who welcomed us into their families ! We're still friends with most of the people we met and I have a million cool and funny stories to tell from those moments ! I have been dreaming of traveling again ever since. I finally quit my job in January 2019 (even though I loved it) and I’m currently on a « world trip » living my dream, yay! 😊 I still use workaway but I like to mix it up with a bit of couch surfing from time to time

PS : unfortunately I've never had the opportunity to host because I've either lived in tiny apartments in Paris (9m2...) or with flatmates who didn't want to host people in Lille... But after my world trip I'd really like to host some people !

Interests

What I love the most is seeing my friends around a good meal, exploring the world, meeting people, watching movies, reading and laughing a lot!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all kind of music, especially pop, rock and oldies. I looove cinema (I’m a video editor in my « normal » life^^) and I also love a good book ! Harry Potter obviously :p fiction in general or a good thriller. I mostly like french, belgian, english and irish authors

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Driving in the Australian desert for days and days with my bestie has been an amazing moment with the Devil's Marbles, the sand dunes, Gaps, Chasms, Waterholes, Waterfalls and all those natural beauties!

Natural landscapes leave me awestruck in general, I've never been that much flabbergasted than in New Zealand and in Iceland

But in general the most amazing adventure I've ever lived is "life" ! I'm happy everyday to live that adventure surrounded by friends and family and strangers who don't know yet that we're going to be friends !

Teach, Learn, Share

I’ve been an English volunteer teacher in South Korea for a few months and I was born and raised in France so I guess I can teach French as well^^ I love editing videos, taking pictures and learn new things, anything! Even « useless » things like solving a rubikscube, riding a unicycle or learn a whole rap song... lately I learnt how to knit! And I’d love to learn how to write / draw / paint and cook better...
