About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Traveling, discovering and traveling again. May each trip become a new birth

ABOUT ME

That's the most difficult to fill! I'm a young French girl, curious and always glad to broaden my horizons. Concerning myself, I think I'm an easy-going person, interested in many things. I'm an adventurous person, always ready to go back on the road as a backpacker. I let you be judge when you will see me ! :)

PHILOSOPHY

Well, the basic "realise your dreams", "Do what make you happy", "Carpe Diem" are what I'm trying to accomplish even if it seems mainstream. I consider as well that human realtionships are one of the most important things to care about in life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I like couchsurfing for two reasons : I think you learn more than by any other way with people, especially with foreigners. You become more open-minded, more tolerant and learn a lot of things. Then, I have an incredible experience in Senegal, during my first roadtrip. I was welcomed by a lot of ordinary and poor people but with a lot of joy as if I was one of them. This experience changes myself. Since, I want to do it again !

Now, I had only one experience with couchsurfing in being host. That was a really great experience! I spent a nice time with two lovely americans and I feel helpful. So I would like to go on so that I can meet heaps of people from different countries and cultures!

Interests

I'm interested in travels, road trip, fencing, all outdoors activities (camping, hiking, climbing, bouldering, biking, snorkeling, kayaking), music, literature, theatre, movies, culture and arts, spiritual and philosophical matters. I like meeting new people with different culture. I love exploring foreign countries, especially in road trip. I reckon it's the best way to make some unexpected meeting, to experience deeply a trip and see the best of a country.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music : I like a lot of musical style but mostly rock and roll, Rock prog, folk song, country, jazz (Bob Dylan, Supertramp, Courtney Barnett, Moriarty, Duke Ellington, Nina Simone, Magma, King crimson, Queen Of the Stone Age...)

Books : I'm fond of books! So, I can't say what type of books I like especially. Probably the one which can make you think, upside your or enlarge your ideas. I read french or foreign novels but also non-fiction. I even like coffee table books about photography or arts especially. Some famous foreign authors I really appreciate: Dino Buzzati, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Herman Hesse,Tim Winton, Bill Bryson, Hampate Bâ, Anton Tchekhov, Milan Kundera...

Movies : so many to develop!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Maybe diving into a very cold Finnish lake (3 degrees Celsius/ 37 degrees Fahrenheit) after a very hot sauna ( about 100 degrees C/ 212 degrees F).

Backpacking one year all around Australia!

Croc catching with crazy ozies in Katherine (Near Darwin)!

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't know if I'm able to teach something to someone but I can share what I know . I know some french kitchen, a little of music (I play piano a little since my childhood). Otherwise, my knowledge in literature and arts. Of course I can share a bit about French culture.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Belgium, Cameroon, Czech Republic, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Italy, Malaysia, Montenegro, Nepal, Netherlands, New Zealand, Senegal, Spain, Sweden, Tunisia, Turkey, United Kingdom
