About Me

Hi there, my name is Anastasia and I'm 24yo. Originally I'm from Russia but I used to live in Germany for a bit more than a decade. Since November 2015 I'm travelling and enjoying meeting new people from different places and cultures. I love the outdoors, especially the bush in Australia. I love exploring new places, camping, campfires, cooking, hiking, slacklining, yoga and I'm up for any other outdoor activities. I enjoy being creative either it's photography or handcrafting. I like to enjoy a good night with people sharing some food and I'm always up for a chat but I also know to respect the private space of others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I've done is travelling for more than 1000 km on a scooter in Indonesia in monsoon rain season. We had a spontaneous idea of going to the Kelimutu - the tricoloured lakes. The next day we rented a scooter in Lombok Senggigi to cross 3 islands to get to see the amazing world wonder of Kelimutu. It wasn't always easy as it was bucketing most of the time, sometimes we just found a little bamboo hut to rest and have some shelter from the rain and the dirt roads on Sumbawa are hard to drive especially during night. But the experience we got is not describable with words. The people in the small villages welcomed us like their own family, to see the kids on the side of the road waiting to get a high five while driving past is incredible, the scenery along the road is more than amazing and in the end to arrive at the Kelimutu was so satisfying after all the challenges we had along the way.
