I'll start with a bit about myself then! I'm Anand and that's an Indian name, it's Indian because India is geographically in the middle of Japan and the Netherlands, where my parents are from.

I've been brought up in a forest in the south of the Netherlands, not like forest forest but just forest for dutch standards but nature for me is the driving force. Although it is, for now I moved to Amsterdam for studies.

I am now in my third year of Anthropology. I chose to study anthropology because people are the most interesting stuff there is. People fascinate me and that connects me with traveling strongly (and couchsurfing now ;))

Further is photography my passion and also my purpose especially while traveling. I feel that it can connect strongly with my studies and traveling, to understand, to show, to appreciate but also to travel and think about it more ethically.
