ABOUT ME

I have dedicated my life to music since I'm 12 .
But my gratitude goes to the wonderful beings I met along the way : they were the best potential teachers: Nurses and care takers I had the chance to work with. People who are attuned to nature and the play of seasons. The ones that have a creative and evolutive outlook on ecology and alternative medecine such as naturopathy, ayurveda, etc... Contemplation of nature plays a great role in my life and I learn a lot from it. The barren and beautiful landscape of Connemara, the great heights of Nepal,the magic and beauty of it all...

After school,I travelled from age 21 to 27, busking, gigging, working and hitchiking trough Scotland, England, Australia, the US, India and Nepal. I have lived 3 years in Ireland. It has been a wonderful experience. For the time being, I'm staying in Belgium as I have signed with a Brussels based label. We are now busy working on the mix of my new album. It'll be out by March 2010 in Europe

Although I really enjoy gigging, I'm not blinkered to it. My main reward is the sense of communion I experience through the "small scale" interactions of everyday life.

To get back to this very latitude of bare potential and trust Life's impulses. To nurture all equanimous endeavours and rejoice :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Travelling and offering my music as a gift enables me to get to know people in a much more simple and genuine manner.
(Unfortunately I don't owe a credit card so I can't be an active "verified member"..)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have very found memories of my first travelling and busking days where ‘informal concerts’ were given in the kitchen or couches of newly met friends. Enriched by these experiences and carried by the dynamic exchange, I ‘m planning to take the road again, along with this very keynote.

Movies... "The taste of Tea", "Spirited Away", "Nausicaa of the Valley of the wind"
Music... First and foremost I'm greatful for the many wonderful singers, beggars, devotional singers, "bauls" and buskers I met on the road. Those that are virtually unknown and are singing with their spirit wide open.. :)
And the others.. The Peruvian singer Martina Portocorerro, Mahalia Jackson for her presence and depth, Abida Parveen with the album Ishq, The Sabri Brothers, Feist, My Brightest Diamond, Glassworks by Phillip Glass, etc..
Books.. Randomly.. Swami Vivekananda's work, Ramana Maharishi, Rabindranath Tagore, Calvin & Hobbes Comics, Gaston Lagaffe(Belgian comics), Cooking recipes by Valerie Cupillard and Clea.. Jean Valnet old books about aromatherapy,plants herbs,spices etc..

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach intuitive singing through improvisation and I also work as a healer through sound and music.

I can also teach French and I can share some recipes as well :)
I'd be glad to learn anything from cooking recipes to the names of the nearby towns.
