I am a Physics graduate student at the University of California, Davis. I like solving problems that challenge me which is why I am doing physics( I guess). I am a caring and friendly person. I am open to trying out new things and gaining new experiences. I am really attracted to adventure sports and would like to do skydiving, paragliding, scuba diving some day!

I like travelling and would like to visit different countries in the world and get to know about the people and culture. What better way to do that than staying with a local! I am currently in the US for my PhD but I want to return to India as soon as I can and I would like to show people from around the world the diverse landscapes and cultures of India.

兴趣

I am a trained Bharatnatyam dancer though I do not get time to practice much nowadays. I like running and swimming. I have started biking after moving to California. I would like to train for a triathlon and participate in one.
I love trekking and have trekked in the Himalayas and the Western Ghats. I absolutely love trekking in the Himalayas.
The crafts centre at UC Davis offers some really cool courses like weaving, glass blowing, blacksmithing among others and I would like to join a course there next quarter.
When I am cooking I like experimenting with new recipes or making new dishes.

I like to listen to Rabindra Sangeet or Indian classical music when I want to relax.
My favourite band is Led Zeppelin. Other than that I also like Pink Floyd, Simon and Garfunkel, Guns and Roses, Metallica, Adele.

Some of my favourite movies are Shawshank Redemption, Forrest Gump, Terminal, Pretty Woman, Amelie, Kung Fu Panda 1,2, Dark Knight, The Grand Hotel Budapest, Harakiri(an old Japanese movie) in no particular order. These are the ones I can remember right now.

Trekked 100 km in 2 weeks with my mother who is above 50 years in the Himalayas through some very amazing and dangerous places.
