HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have both hosted and stayed with people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Carolyn (couchsurfing name: dandelionwine) and I arrived in Verona, Italy rather late at night, without a map, and decided to walk around and try to find some place to sleep. We got rather disoriented and lost. Then a man came up and asked for a cigarette. I gave him one and he then told us he was Morrocan and an anarchist all about "the peace and the love." At least, this is what we think he said based on the little English he knew. He took us to a building where ten or fifteen people were meeting by candlelight and three of them let us stay at their apartment for two days. They were Romanian immigrant anarchists and cooked us giant bowls of pasta while telling us about their homeland.
