Overview
About Me
I’m Anas, a cultural heritage specialist and conservation engineer from Mosul, Iraq. I’ve been deeply involved in the restoration of some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, including Al-Tahera Syriac Catholic Church and Al-Nouri Mosque with its famous leaning minaret, Al-Hadba — both of which were severely damaged during the recent conflict.
I currently lead a cultural project called “Doors of Mosul,” where we carved three large alabaster doors representing the Abrahamic religions — Islam, Christianity, and Judaism — to celebrate Mosul’s long history of coexistence. The doors will be exhibited in Le Havre, France.
I love meeting people from around the world, sharing stories, and learning about different cultures. I’ve been fortunate to travel to many countries including Italy, France, Turkey, Syria, Qatar, UAE, Mexico, Thailand, Ukraine, and Switzerland — and I’m always excited for the next adventure.
If you're passionate about culture, history, or just good conversation, I’d love to connect!
