About Me

**We are currently traveling, so we are not hosting.**

Greetings, everyone! 😊

We're Timur and Anastasiia, hailing from Russia and Ukraine. Currently, we're working and studying in Bratislava, Slovakia.

Our journey started in the USA, where we embraced Couchsurfing, connecting with fascinating individuals and gaining incredible experiences. Presently, we're exploring various corners of Europe. We're a friendly, open-minded couple who enjoy meeting new people. We're eager to share our travel tales and listen to the adventures of others.

In our free time, you'll find us engaging in board games, hiking, staying active, savoring diverse cuisines, and, of course, traveling. Our goal is to explore as many countries as possible (currently at 37 out of 197).

Couchsurfing has enriched our lives by introducing us to new friends and providing us with insights from locals. Many thanks to CS for this incredible journey!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We have multiple motivations for this decision. Firstly, we enjoy meeting new people with whom we can share stories, experiences, and traditions, potentially forming lasting friendships. It's the most effective way to immerse ourselves in a new culture. Secondly, interacting with local residents allows us to receive valuable advice on the best places to visit and discover hidden attractions, moving beyond typical tourist experiences. Thirdly, opting for local connections can contribute to cost savings during our travels. Additionally, we aspire to reciprocate by hosting people in the future when we have our own place.

Music, Movies, and Books

I take pleasure in listening to pop and acoustic music. While I don't have a specific favorite movie, I lean towards enjoying comedies, love stories, fantasy, and detective genres.

Timur has a preference for jazz music and instrumental pieces, and he considers himself a movie enthusiast.

Currently, both of us share an interest in reading, particularly focusing on psychological and motivational books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hitchhiked in Turkey by myself
I taught English to Chinese children (3-5 years old)

We visited 33 countries in two years
We organized Adaptation Language for refugees

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can share aspects of my culture, traditions, and customs. As someone who speaks multiple languages, we could offer to teach my host some phrases or engage in language exchange sessions. Additionally, we can share interesting stories from our lives, travels, or experiences. Last but not least, we can share dinners, or a cup of coffee and hang out
