About Me

Born and slightly raised in Siberia, I grew up with a punk mom and a punk dad. When I was 3, my mom's side of the family moved to Houston and have lived here since. I aspire to study law, teach high school English, and also be a professional film maker. I spend a lot of time in theatre and with my younger sisters. I grow with each person I meet, and I want to keep growing!!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because when traveling I want to meet new people while at the same time having a place to stay. Hotels are alright, but can be expensive and lonely. I'm interested in making connections and getting connected.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lately, I've gotten really into rap, hip hop, and R&B. But overall I love jazz, pop, alternative, punk, folk, etc, etc, etc. I've been obsessed with Rihanna's new album and it ranges all the way to Hector Lavoe with LCD Soundsystem and Hot Chip in the middle. Top three movies are: M, Dogtooth, Nights of Cabaria. My one and only favorite book is The First Bad Man by Miranda July.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I've done is climbed frozen waterfalls in Banff, Canada this past winter. It was the most beautiful experience of my life. Wearing crampons and hiking up and down the Johnston Canyon.

Teach, Learn, Share

Let me teach you Russian!!! I can't cook, but I can teach you everything I know about filmmaking, directors, actors, acting, photography, art history.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If by sharing you mean how can a host benefit me from lending me their couch then I would answer by saying there will be many talks of films, life experiences, future possibilities, mantras, art. I think in many ways I have a lot to offer to any person who crosses my path, and they have a lot to offer me too, whether they know it or not.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Mexico, Mongolia, Russian Federation, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In
