About Me
Hi everyone!
I created this profile about 10 years ago but never actually tried Couchsurfing yet. Most of my travels have been through Booking or Airbnb — without “real” hosts.
Now I’m in the USA for two months for work training. It’s my first time here, and I hope to explore more of this country between my work routine. I’d really appreciate some local insight and company!
I used to be a journalist for seven years but later switched to customer support — quite a change, but I love what I do.
I’m passionate about traveling, especially discovering old cities and their architecture. I also love nature and animals (I’ve already taken lots of bird photos in Florida!). Mountains, cycling, kayaking — count me in.
I love my imperfect but evolving hometown, creative workshops, art exhibitions, and science museums. I adore music, though I sing terribly. I adopted two cats from a shelter, care about ecology, and sort my trash even when abroad. I’m a big fan of books, literary events, and cozy book clubs.
Also, last year I started my Master’s degree, so I’m back to student life again. It’s not as easy as it was in my teens, but still full of discoveries and inspiration.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
You can read hundreds of travel blogs, but no one knows a city better than locals.
Couchsurfing is an amazing chance to meet people you’d never cross paths with otherwise — and to see the world through their stories.
Once, through this platform, I helped a friend whose trip to Latvia was falling apart — together with a kind stranger from Couchsurfing, we literally saved her vacation! Since then, I’ve always wanted to experience it myself.

Music, Movies, and Books
Different types of music: popular (Imagine Dragons, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blue October), Ukrainian bands, classic, mantras, ethnic. I love music concerts and festivals.
I like thrillers, dramas, comedies.
Books: I love reading! Non fiction, fiction. Love to discover new worlds. Ukrainian authors, The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson, Fahrenheit 451 and Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury, The journey home by Radhanath Swami ect.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Every trip of mine feels like an amazing story — from a soaked training in Madeira’s trail to the carnival in Tenerife, from a tiny Romanian village to a random family photo in India.
But if I had to choose one thing — it would be my parachute jump. It was unforgettable, left me with metal screws in my leg, and I absolutely don’t regret it (though probably won’t do it again!).
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share stories about my country, our culture, and my travels. I’d love to hear your stories too.
Happy to explore the city together, or give you space if you’re busy — I enjoy my own company as well.
I can also teach you a few Ukrainian words or just talk about books, art, and life.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Unfortunately, it’s not safe at my home now because of the war. But one day, after the victory, you’re warmly welcome to be my guest there.
