Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I don` t have a huge experience, but the ones I have had really thrilled me- it s exciting, fascinating, and fulfilling to suddenly host a complete stranger, with a feeling however that you both belong to a kind of a (couch surfing) family and that you can let yourself be open and warmhearted much more than in an everyday contact with strangers.

Interests

I adore hiking: on the one hand you have a healthy, nicely exhausting whole-day physical effort which relieves you from the stress,and on the other, the company of some nice people, the sense of trip and adventure and the joy of the contact with the nature - all in one!
I adore dancing in my own, "free-style" way- letting the music revive every part of my body, move completely spontaneously and feel really free.
I´m also very keen on learning and teaching languages (which includes exploring other cultures) - for me, it´s a sort of an inner travel, because it allows us to familiarize with a different way of thinking and seeing life, and opening to the world. And the translation, the maximum appropriation of another language and culture is one of the most exciting and creative parts of that journey.

I enjoy arts in general.For me art is beauty,the refuge from all the ugliness of the world and the possibility to live ideals and perfection even though on Earth. It is also a way to communicate with the most intelligent, extraordinary and interesting people of mankind- writers, painters etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

I especially like artistic, intimate, poetic, very close-to-life french movies, with non-pretentious intelligent conversations, dealing with the complexity of human relations,with lives of somewhat uncommon people, with a touch of french "art de vivre" and a bit of bizarre.

Music: world music,fusion, gipsy, tango, rock....
I listen to all sorts of music, depending on the mood or the period of life.
I currently enjoy the sensibility and art of the writer Eric Emmanuel Schmitt (La Part de l´Autre)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Leaving for France at the age of eighteen, with barely enough money to live three months and staying there 5 years
