ABOUT ME

We've been married from january 2008 - it was our first anniversary and it was the best decision ever!We're totally outgoing, love outdoor sports. We do a lot of tour-skiing in the Alps and cycling around Europe. Sometimes we also do canyoning and wild-river rafting with our colleagues. We are AOWD certified divers, diving even at winter :) There are definitely some other adrenalin things we have done in the past that we just cant recall right now.. they are sooo many :)Some pics of some of our adventures are available at http://www.kibuba.com/kks/?content=4&author_id=8 - Ana's nickname there is Cebe, and Martin is Dr.Kucma look for the pics only, cuz it's in Slovenian :)Ana has recently graduated from Medical Faculty of University of Ljubljana and now works in Traumatology department in Ljubljana hospital, covering ER.Martin is anesthesiologist in Ljubljana's main hospital, curently being specialty trainee. He also works in emergency department in community health centre. He used to do a lot of carpentry for different shops before starting a real medical job.In the past we've been working a lot in the field of public health, Ana: worked with an activist group that had significant impact on legislation of a law that prohibits smoking in public places in Slovenia. In summer 2008 I have been working in a group of students developing a vaccine against some stomach bacteria --> http://2008.igem.org/Team:Slovenia With this project we have wan Grand prize in Synthetic biology competition held in MIT, USA with competitors from worlds best universities such as Harvard, MIT, Oxford, ETH ZÜrich and similar. Sooo proud of it, that this small country that almost noone heard of has wan!Martin: still works with a group that promotes CPR education among different people - mostly teaching school and kindergarten teachers. Anyways, Martin loves to cook, so if you'll come by our place (or if we stay at yours) he will proabably offer himself to make you a delicious dinner. He doesn't let me to the kitchen ;) We both are very keen for photography. Simply love it!We have 4 cats now (oh yeah a bunch). First we only had 2.. then we adopted another one... 3 is almost as little as 2 we said.. then Anas sister found 3 kittens abandoned.. we managed to get all of them adopted, but one just couldn't get along with the new family.. so he ended up back at our little ZOO. We'd have a dog, if we could, but its already hectic, so we borrow other people's dogs :) We got baby Lev in October 2013, together we've been so far to France (twice!), Belgium, Croatia, Serbia, Italy, Austria,... and more we will...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunatelly we live in Ana's parent's house in a separated appartment, but her parents don't really understand the couchsurfing thing.. So all we can do is have a drink with you in the city or show you around, maybe give some suggestions how to get the most of your time here in Slovenia or in nearby Croatia, Austria or Italy.. Especially try to ask us about outdoor opportunities, cuz we don't know much of nightlife :)
Recently we bought a house near Kranj, but unfortunately it is not finished yet. As soon as it will be suitable for living, we will host!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We LOOOVE couchsurfing. It enables us to really get to know locals! A friend has told us about it, its great!. We showed around LJ one person from couchsurfing so far, and we met some in Mexico for a coffee or a night out.

Ana: Vaccine against Helicobacter pylori that is being tested right now.
Martin: was Rescue dog guide and found 2 people in the woods/mountains!

We keep saving lost or abandoned animals :) curently we take care of 4 beautiful cats.
