Hey there! My name is Andrés and I'm a cloud engineer in my late 30s originally from Argentina who moved to Barcelona last year with my partner. We love exploring new places together and we're both really enjoying our time here in sunny Barcelona.

I work remotely, which gives me the freedom to travel and explore new places. When I'm not working, I love being outdoors and soaking up the sun. I'm a big fan of nature and plants and I find that being surrounded by greenery is really soothing for the soul and the mind.

Since the pandemic, I changed my lifestyle quite a lot and began paying more attention to different things like healthy and mindful eating, gardening, and meditation.

I’m the guardian of two lovely cats who are my constant companions. They're both very friendly and love meeting new people. In addition to spending time with my cats, I've recently joined a hiking group with which I walk through the Catalonian mountains, lakes, rivers, and sea. I recently started climbing (bouldering) and doing functional training. It's been a great way to stay active and challenge myself physically.

I'm also a person with multiple interests, so I'm always up for trying something new. Recently, I had a freediving training and it was such a unique experience. It's amazing how peaceful and serene it can be underwater.

Regarding my hobbies, I used to play the guitar piano, and a bit of percussion in the darbuka. While I don't play instruments as frequently as I used to, I still love music and enjoy listening to all kinds of genres.

I'm currently looking for a place to couchsurf because I believe it's a great way to travel while also meeting new people and experiencing new places.

As a remote worker, I have the flexibility to travel and work from different places. Couchsurfing and housesitting allows me to explore new destinations in a more sustainable way.

I'm a big fan of cats and I find that staying with hosts who have pets is a great way to get some furry companionship while I'm away from my beloved cats.

I'm also a very trustworthy person and I always treat other people's homes with the same respect that I would want them to treat mine. For me, couchsurfing is not just about finding a place to stay, it's about building connections and making new friends all around the world.

When it comes to music, I'm a pretty eclectic listener. I enjoy a wide wide range of music from classical music, bossa nova (my favorite form of jazz), rock, pop, and Latin rhythms.

Movies:
From time to time I like watching all the Harry Potter and Star wars movies. Apparently, I like magic, aliens, and fantasy.
Lately, I prefer to watch comedies =)

In the last few years, I started to consume books in the form of audio as well. I find it a great option in some contexts (e.g.: while traveling).

A freediving AIDA 2 certification course was definitely an amazing thing I've recently done. That was an experience I won't forget. I did the training in the costa brava (Catalonia) and It gave me a new appreciation for the power of the ocean and for what our bodies are capable of when we learn to work with them in harmony with nature.
