HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosted over a dozen couchsurfers with my roomates (who have more developed profiles). Hope to get to surfing sometime this summer.

Music: Used to like most everything, but although Montreal may be a great place for music, all the 'intellectual' music snobs have disenchanted me from most indie rock and folk. I prefer music with soul, a beat, and a little bit of funk. Personal favorites are Raphael Saadiq, Jill Scott, Maxwell, Erykah Badu, Ledisi, Tinariwen. Love most pop music so long as it is dance-able (Gaga, Guetta). Every once in a while I also love to close my eyes and blast a Symphony.

Movies: Everything

Books: Favorites - Master and Margarita (Bulbokov), Count of Monte Cristo (Dumas), Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay (Chabon), People's History of the USA (Zinn). I frequently read non-fiction, love classic and modern literature, but really get into fantasy and sci-fi adventures.

A 700 year-old mud mosque in the middle of nowhere Burkina Faso. The legend says that if you try to destroy it, you will die. I didn't try.
