drink wine, eat cheese, catch some rays
I'm Anders. I love photography, film, journalism and computers and try to combine these things in various ways. (Check out some photos at https://minorshadows.net). I'm originally from Stockholm, Sweden.
I like bars, preferably with good beer (rules out most; I'm a snob). I passionately dislike clubs.
I'd give my left arm (ok, a finger anyway) if I could travel back in time to see Townes Van Zandt in 1973 . I tend to get carried away when discussing civil liberties and intellectual property law. I spend more time reading about obscure things on Wikipedia than I care to admit.
"...so shut up, live, travel, adventure, bless and don't be sorry..."
Photography, breaking Tetris records, good beer, snooker, tinkering with computers, (watching) ice hockey (NHL), typography, history, sociology, languages, writing, digital culture, computer keyboards
Music, Movies, and Books
Where to start? Robert Bresson, Sergio Leone, the Coen brothers, David Lynch, Jim Jarmusch, Michel Gondry, Wes Anderson, Werner Herzog, ...
My list of the top 30 albums ever would probably include records by Townes Van Zandt, Phil Ochs, Mogwai, David Bowie, Joy Division, Neutral Milk Hotel and Leonard Cohen.
Some of my best concert memories have been with The Flaming Lips, Neil Young, Iggy & the Stooges, Sonic Youth, Radiohead, Josh Ritter and Godspeed You! Black Emperor.(...or simply: last.fm/user/rhblake)
I love the writings of Thomas Wolfe and Jack Kerouac. I think Joan Didion is a genius, along with Hunter S. Thompson and Lester Bangs. More favorites: Philip K. Dick, Neal Stephenson, Boris Vian, Ryszard Kapuscinski, Haruki Murakami, Tove Jansson, Hjalmar Söderberg, Neil Gaiman, Douglas Adams, Flann O'Brien, Dostoevsky, ..
Some favorite photographers: Daido Moriyama, Mary Ellen Mark, Robert Frank, Yamasaki Ko-ji, Josef Koudelka, Don McCullin, Danny Lyon, Bruce Gilden, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Alex Majoli, Trent Parke
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
...a General Snus fridge in Washington DC...c-beams glittering in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate...Peter Forsberg's shootout goal in the '94 Olympics, on tv...
Teach, Learn, Share
