About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Living foot loose & fancy free

ABOUT ME

Laid back, pretty out going person from Australia. Like to go out exploring and trying new things or places. Most of all I like to share good times with friends and make new ones along the way. Not much of a party person these days but I do enjoy going out for good food & drink. I try to be as open minded as possible so that way I am not closing myself off to possible cultural & learning experiences. I am usually a very clean and considerate house mate. Happy to help out round the house or in the kitchen (quite enjoy cooking).

I have been living and travelling overseas for the most part since 2011. At the moment I am just travelling and working along the way when need be. This latest journey I'm heading back to explore new parts of Europe & the east coast of Canada, from there I am not too sure. I will just see where that takes me first!

PHILOSOPHY

Things turn out best for the people who make the best of the way things turn out.

Life is how we choose to perceive it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surf, host and attend CS events (great way to meet like minded people)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been to a number of CS events and met a few people for coffee etc or to just show them around. They have all been great, kind people from all around the world. I have never had a bad experience.

I have been hosted in Sweden, Italy, France, Hungary, Czech Repub & Ireland and had a great time with my hosts in all the locations.

I have hosted a few people in my home town and thoroughly enjoyed showing them around or helping them out when I could.

Interests

Meeting new people, sport (watching & playing), live music, cultural events, cards, food & beverage, movies, relaxing, exploring, hiking. Though really, there isn't too much I don't enjoy doing. I like to go with the flow :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Don't read as much as I could. but when I do it is normally non-fiction or 'informative' type books, as I like to learn new things.
Music interests basically range from classical to heavy metal and everything in between, but I do not have much love for country music.
For movies, if it is interesting I will watch it, if not I will probably fall asleep. What I watch depends on my mood and whether or not I want to think whilst watching a movie or just veg out. If I had to pick some favourites; Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, most Studio Gibli works, most Guy Ritchie films

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing Fat Boy Slim/camping on the Great Wall.
Seeing everything covered in white snow and the frozen ocean for the first time in Sweden.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Aussie slang, most things financial, I'm sure there is more I just can't think of them :)
Learn: Always willing to learn about something new or old
Share: cooking tips & recipes, some food and beverages and definitely some stories & laughs
