ABOUT ME

A fun, wild child who grew up to be quite square. Since my college years decayed before me, much of life's enchantment has fleeted my side. My wandering, free spirit yearns to break away from this mundane loop and seek new social interactions and adventures!

I'm a laid-back, open-minded, and laissez-faire kind of a guy who's courteous and mindful. I like to think I'm a decent Earthling who appreciates life and people. In good company, I'm hard to displease and I hardly disappoint.

My boyfriend and I hope to be active couch surfers in the near future and couch hosts once we establish a suitable place of our own.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surf my friends' couches all the time. But, truth be told, they're mainly domestic friends. I hope to change that to international friends through this site.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen the planet Saturn and all its glorious rings. My college housed an advanced telescope and one early morning I went on a tour given by the Astrophysics Department. It was about 5:00 on a chilly summer morning and I was joined by about ten other students. We walked up this narrow spiral staircase to a circular dome surrounded by computers and a centrally-located telescope. The telescope has an optical eye piece but it mainly takes digital photos of the galactic images. The guide asked for a volunteer to look through the eye piece and he ultimately chose me as I was the only one tall enough to reach it. The guide punched in some code and the telescope whirred and rotated. I stepped up and closed one eye. I stared into the long tube and saw a fuzzy, grey silhouette. The guide punched in some more code and I started to see the planet with its thick purplish rings circling the planet. It was a profound moment for me realizing that I'm just a small part of this grandiose Universe.
