One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing things I've done is manage to not get paralyzed. From the age of 8 to 16 I was a full time competitive gymnast. When I was 12 I was over exhausted one day at practice and attempted a tumbling pass. mid way through a flip my body gave out and I landed right on my head from about 5ft high. I fractured the inside of 1 vertebrae and was less than a millimeter away from fracturing my spinal cord. I apparently didn't learn my lesson because again when I was 15 I over exhausted myself again one day and peeled off the uneven bars during a dismount and propelled myself onto my head from about 13 feet. This time there was a landing mat set down so I had a slightly less hard surface to fall on. I fractured the inside of three more vertebrae that time. After several years my neck finally healed to full health!

Teach, Learn, Share

If you would like I can answer questions or tell stories about living in the US. We may be able to bring a few goodies for you to try if you would like! I love to learn and listen. From weird meaningless facts to history lessons I love to hear what people have to say, what interests them, their stories, and even just hearing about daily routines. I hope to share my time and conversation with you wherever that may take us.

What I Can Share with Hosts

What I hope to share with you is my gratitude and reason to explore and find something meaningful or new. I'm extremely grateful especially when someone makes an effort, small or large, to care for me. Providing a place for me to sleep would make me extremely grateful, to find a host that is welcoming would be a dream, and to make a new friend would mean the world to me. I want to share stories with my host, and time with my host exploring spots that locals love, hidden spots, best views, or favorite pass times. If you would like we may be able to bring a few small goodies to try from the US!
