Currently I live in New York City, Downtown.
I grew up in Russia, Moscow where i have started couchsurfing experience in 2012.
I live in the studio with my friend. There is one separate room. You can stay in the living room on a sofa or air mattress :)
There are many restaurants/cafe and subway stations around. Walking distance to Brooklyn Bridge, Wall street and World Trade Center.

Comfortable for one person, but maybe will have opportunity to host a couple.
