I think that Couchsurfing gives me the chance to get to know the place I am visiting from the inside. It gives you a real vision of what living in that place means. If you sleep in a hostel you are living the city from another perspective and I really feel this is a great opportunity to share moments with people from different cultures and learn from each other.
