About Me
Hey, I’m Andrea! 🌞
Born and raised in the colorful chaos of Mexico City, but three years ago, I made one of the best decisions of my life and moved to North Vancouver, Canada. Now, I live surrounded by mountains, trees, and endless nature — something I never had growing up, and honestly, I’m still in awe of it every day. 🌲
I’m currently doing my MBA, and living here has opened me up to a world of new experiences and amazing people from all over. It’s a super multicultural place, and that’s made me even more curious and eager to connect with people from different backgrounds.
Traveling has been a part of my life since I was a kid — I took my first solo flight to Vancouver when I was 8 years old, and that trip changed everything. That’s where I fell in love with this city, and now, living here, it feels like my journey has come full circle. This upcoming trip to Europe will be my first time leaving North America, and I’m beyond excited (and yeah, a little nervous too!).
I’m all about calm, kindness, and deep connections. I’m a clean and organized person, and I truly enjoy getting to know people on a deeper level — there’s something magical about just listening and sharing experiences. I started Couchsurfing because my best friend (the ultimate travel guru) introduced me to it, and I’ve already had a wonderful hosting experience in Vancouver. Now, I’m excited to experience it from the other side!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m here to meet new people and make some real, genuine connections. I love learning about different cultures, sharing stories, and seeing things from a new perspective. I’m not just about ticking off tourist spots — I want to dive deep into the local vibe, and I believe Couchsurfing is a perfect way to do that. Let’s connect over music, food, or just an easy conversation.
Since moving to Vancouver, I’ve met people from all over the world, and that’s made me realize how much I value these authentic connections. I’m ready to see where my European adventure takes me, and hopefully, meet some amazing souls along the way.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is EVERYTHING for me. I’m obsessed with techno (seriously, it’s a deep love) and I could lose myself in it for hours. But I also can’t resist the pull of reggaetón — it’s my go-to to get me on the dance floor! I’m not into the party-hard lifestyle or heavy drinking, but if there’s a rave, I’m there, dancing all night long, sober, because the music moves me that much. 😎
I’ve even started learning to mix music, just for fun. It’s a whole new world, and I’m loving it. On top of that, I’ve been diving into German music lately — German rap, like Makko, he is one of my favourites right now!
As for movies and books… I’ll be honest — I’m not super passionate about either. I can totally enjoy a good movie or read something interesting, but I’d much rather be outside doing something, moving my body, or connecting with people. I’m more of a “live it, feel it” kind of person than a “watch it on a screen” one. 😉
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most amazing things I’ve done is take my first solo flight at 8 years old to visit Vancouver. It was a big leap for a little one, but that trip totally shaped my love for travel. Now, I live here, and it feels like the ultimate full-circle moment. Traveling has shown me how beautiful it is to connect with people from all walks of life, and I’m so grateful for the experiences that have shaped me along the way.
Last but not least, learning how to snowboard — and it wasn’t just about the sport. A German friend I met in Vancouver took me to the mountains and patiently taught me how to ride. I had never been on a board before, and now I’m totally hooked! It felt like unlocking a whole new side of myself.
Every winter, I spend as much time as I can on the slopes. It’s not just fun — it’s freeing. Being surrounded by snow, trees, and mountains, flying down the hill with music in my ears… it’s pure magic. And the fact that it all started from a random friendship just makes it even more special.
Teach, Learn, Share
I’m always down to learn something new — especially languages and cultural insights! I’m currently learning German (still very basic!) and would love to practice it more. My native language is Spanish, and I’d be more than happy to share it with you if you’re up for it! I also really enjoy learning about people’s experiences, traditions, and ways of life.
If you’re into music, I’d be happy to share what I know about mixing tracks or even teach you a few DJ tips. Also, if you’re down for hiking or snowboarding, I can show you some cool spots in the mountains near Vancouver!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I’m super clean and organized (you’ll never find a mess with me). If you need help tidying up, I’m more than happy to pitch in — I love keeping spaces neat and cozy. I believe in leaving a place better than I found it, and that goes for both physical spaces and the vibe in the home.
As for experiences, I’m all about deep conversations and cultural exchange. I’ll happily share stories from Mexico, my life in Vancouver, and the adventures I’ve had along the way. I can also show you how to enjoy a great dance session, whether it’s reggaetón or techno — I love moving to the rhythm!
Lastly, if you’re ever in Vancouver, I would love to host you back. My door is always open to new friends.💌
