Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

One of the most vivid memories I have is from a night 12 years ago during a study abroad in Japan. I went to a firefly festival in the mountains, and it was unbelievable. There were fireflies absolutely everywhere and they had no problems landing on people. Looking out over the rice paddies covered in a swarm of fireflies with the moon bright enough to see the outline of the mountains in the background and a train cutting across the horizon - I will never forget what a beautiful sight that was and how totally centered I felt.
