About Me

What an engaging question... Who am I? I'll put aside potential material for the headshrinker and will drop here a few fragments about me... Italian guy, 40 years old, love solo trips and mixing with new people from all over the world and finding myself in unexpected situations, movie geek to the point I worked for movies productions, kept a videoblog with friends and founded a small film festival in my hometown, I grew some experience in the theatre field: acting and dubbing a bit, working for a theatre festival as well, I'm also into the football field (in its general meaning, not a player!) as tour guide in a sport museum and stadium, now studying and practicing photography, definitely am a sweet tooth...

I love taking good care of my social life, my friends and the fun time with them. I like to bring a laugh and a joke in the situation, singing and partying, being curious and outgoing both with the loved ones and the foreigner I just met. At the same time, I am a discreet and thoughtful guy who loves spending time in listening and giving attention and help, also enjoying solo time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When traveling, I always found thrilling and fulfilling to happen to meet people from all over the world and have little access in their own personal, real life. I love human stories and find connections where cultural gaps and geographical distances become fuel to curiosity and sharing instead of barriers. Giving part of your own experience and receiving some back is one of the most satisfying thing a traveler like me can get.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: a joyful soul, blues and jazz playlist from the 50s
Movie: impossible to make a single choice, but can never recommend enough In the mood for love by Wong Kar-Wai

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sleeping in a Buddhist monastery in the wide open countryside of Mongolia on my 40th birthday night and, later on that day, seeing in a Buddhist grave site, in the middle of the nowhere of the Gobi desert, a partially complete human skeleton left to dissolve in nature. One of a kind birthday indeed!

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Iceland, Mongolia, Portugal, Scotland, Spain, Sweden
