About Me
CURRENT OBJECTIVE:
Europe summer 2019: See as much as possible, meet new people, have new experiences, and eat all the things!
ABOUT US (This is a joint profile for my boyfriend Steven and me since we come as a combo):
My name is Andrea; I am 27 and am currently living in Arizona. I spent the latter half of my childhood in Arizona and eventually attended the University of Arizona. After graduating, I moved to Seattle, WA for my Master's program and ended up staying in Seattle for 4 1/2 years. I tried out Portland, OR for 6 months, before deciding to move back to Arizona.
My friends would tell you that I have quite the RBF; but once you get past that I am very sweet. I can be a bit shy, but still, love meeting new people. Once you get to know me a bit, I am goofy and sarcastic and always enjoy having a good laugh. I am always open to having a good conversation (which is probably why I am a counselor lol). I enjoy cooking and love baking! I am a very crafty person and enjoy making new things.
I love traveling but haven't done as much as I like. I have been to Canada and Mexico, but never overseas.
As far as the U.S.; I have been to California, Nevada, Colorado, Missouri, Indiana, and Ohio.
Steven (28), is a New Jersey native, who has spent quite a long time in Arizona. Steven graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Radio Frequency (RF) Design. Steven is a down to earth, brilliant, goofy man. He also has a great sense of humor and always enjoys a good laugh. He is very kind and is always willing to help out in any way that he can. He has so many interests and always has a ton of projects going on. He is interested in cars and racing. We are actually making one of his dreams come true this summer by going to Monaco for the 2019 Formula 1 race. On a side note, Steven is also a great cook!
Steven has also been to Canada and Mexico. He has also traveled a large majority of the United States; so if you need some recommendations, he is your guy.
One thing I can tell you though is that he does not recommend Mississippi or New Mexico (LOL)
We are both easy going, down to earth individuals. Neither one of us has been to Europe, so we decided to do a 3 month Euro tour this summer. We are very excited to meet new people and travel all around. We are being foodies, so we are also very excited to try everything! We are open to different adventures and seeing where this trip will take us. We would love tips on things to do that are outside of the normal touristy things.
We are very respectful and understanding. We are aware that Hosts have busy lives and will do our best to be as little as a burden as possible. We are very respectful of peoples spaces and will do our best to ensure that we are cleaning up after ourselves and helping out when we can.
Couchsurfing is new to us, so I really hope that we are given a chance to experience as much as we can, so we can offer the same great experience in the future.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: We both love music of all sorts of genres. Our music taste span from classic rock to metal, jazz, hip hop, rap, EDM, and all the way to blues.
The only thing we really don't enjoy is country and opera.
As for books and movies, there are too many to list. But what a perfect conversation to have in person!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing that we are doing is taking this leap and living out our dreams by traveling.
Teach, Learn, Share
Food, Music, and Experiences
Steven and I would love to share a different type of music and would be happy to put together a playlist for anyone that wants one. We would also love to experience new music and see what is popular throughout Europe.
We would also love to learn to cook and bake whatever we can and of course are willing to share any recipes that anyone may want.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We can share our experiences and expertise on American Phrases; e.g. what the kids are saying these days. LOL
