Hey all!! My name is Andrea and I am 23. I am from Minneapolis, Minnesota in the US but I have lived in Wisconsin the past 4 years where I went to University. I graduated about four months ago and upon graduating, I realized that I wanted my life to look a little different than those around me. I have a large family, five siblings, fourteen aunts and uncles, countless cousins yet I am the only one who has stepped foot on foreign soil. Out of my five college roommates and best friends, I am the only one who didn't either get married or continue their education. But if that is wrong then I don't want to be right. I'm convinced I was born to be on the road, meet new people, and experience many cultures. My dream is to do just that.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I have been to other countries and traveled under different circumstances. I lived in South Africa for 6 months attending UCT. I taught English at an (amazing) homestay in Vietnam. I backpacked through Laos, Cambodia, Thailand. I am on couchsurfers because I want a new experience. I found that I felt most connected to a place when I was with people from the area. I want my experience not to be a shallow one where I am merely experiencing what I perceive to be the culture from my own narrow-minded American viewpoint. I want a deep dive. I desire to see the area from a new light. I want to really meet people and make friends. I want to know what you love about your city and why you love it. It is such a more genuine, whole-hearted experience.

I *love* EDM music. Anything I can dance to that has a good beat. I also like Folk and Americana and Acoustic music. Only genre I am not a huge fan of is country.
I really don't watch movies except I love Harry Potter, everything about it.
I love reading. Almost anything except romance novels (barf)

But really, probably the coolest thing I've done was bungee jumping off the worlds tallest bungee jump in South Africa.
