About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Follow the wide open road back to 'Frisco

ABOUT ME

They would say that I'm active, ready to burst out the door everyday and do something. They would also say that I don't like cold weather, but if my hair is spiked just so that I look like a wolf. They would say I like adventures and drinking IPAs, and really long conversations about books and theories on what makes the world the way it is. They would say I like bodies of water, especially rivers, and Walden pond in Concord, MA. They would say I'm ready for anything.

PHILOSOPHY

question everything.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to host and surf ! I'm going to be on the road for august but am eager to host as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This is my first time creating account, but I've been living in a house that regularly hosts couch surfers and it's been so great to meet people and share travel experiences.

Interests

I'm really into creative writing, it's been slow going for the past few months; I'm embarking on a cross country road trip to live a little. I spend a lot of time thinking about bikes and riding bikes, and sometimes building them up. I drink coffee, which may or may not be a revealing interest, but I'm drinking some right now so I'd thought I'd share. Actually, I just got a single pour coffee thing for travelling! I also spend a lot of time thinking about brains-I studied neuroscience in college and am especially interested in memory. Since then, I've gotten really into activism and social justice especially feminism, environmental justice, health care justice (I'm an EMT), anti-racism, and queer justice. I'm a little obsessed with skylines. I want to see them all.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At the beginning of the summer, I road tripped from Boston to New Orleans with some of my close friends. When we hit the final stretch, we were driving over the bridge that crosses Lake Pontchartrain. For a while, it was as though we were surrounded by nothing but endless water. As we neared the end of the bridge, beautiful New Orleans emerged on the skyline. I was so happy to be there with my friends and the wonder that is New Orleans. People are nice there.

Back in January, I drove and camped down along the coast of California from San Francisco to Morrow bay, down highway 1. On the right were deep cliffs and the raging pacific, while on the left were rolling green hills inhabited by cows and horses. I had never seen such an arresting landscape. I woke up from camping with the Big Sur and open sky as my wallpaper.
