Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted one awesome surfer so far! Looking forward to hosting more surfers, and doing some couchsurfing myself in Vietnam/Laos/Cambodia/Thailand in the near future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All the couchsurfers I've come across so far were being hosted by my friend here in Okinawa, and the positive experiences convinced me to join the couchsurfing community

I like to travel; browse through bookstores/ record stores/ thrift stores (I miss Salvation Army!); watching people cook and eating what they've made; KARAOKE!; etymology; photography; planning my way around the world

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Simply completing the Great Wall half-marathon
-Enjoying an impromptu samba jam-session by a Brazilian band in an Okinawan karaoke bar at 4am
-Roaming Kume-jima by myself on a scooter. My first time riding a scooter in a minimally developed place where people did not readily speak English was awesome!
