ABOUT ME

Hola a todos, CS!
I am curious, peaceful, and friendly.
I work as an English teacher here in Colombia, but since I'm not an English native speaker, I love to meet new people, practice and learn new things.

I moved to Medellín 11 years ago, but now I live in Santa Elena (50-60 minutes by bus from Medellin), where La Feria de Flores takes places every year! I love it there.

I enjoy simple things: going for a walk, having a dessert with black coffee or just listening to soft music (usually instrumentals).

I have developed an appreciation for meditation 🧘‍♀️ as I’ve seen and felt how it really operates in different levels of my life.

I also believe LOVE is the most powerful thing in the world.

I am currently studying Traditional Chinese Medicine.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Some years ago with my roommates, we hosted people from Switzerland, Argentina, Australia, USA, Uruguay, Taiwan, Germany, England, Denmark, Mexico, Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Israel, Canada, Poland, Finland and The Netherlands this year. It has been one of the best experiences in my life; that's why I decided to create my own profile and let the world come to me!

Music, Movies, and Books

-Movies: Independent films, drama (I really like crying with movies), animated (they never disappoint)...
-Music: Generally soft music, movie scores/instrumentals or new music I can discover or friends share with me. I’ve been into “medicine music” lately.
I love all Studio Ghibli soundtracks. My dream is to attend any of Joe Hisaishi’s concerts, one of my favorite composers and directors.
-Books: combining journalism, political analysis, science, and lately, spiritual insights. Also, books recommended by friends who know me well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-I saw 4 falling stars in Isla del Sol, Bolivia.
-I’ve been to a Vipasaana meditation course (best decision ever).

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some Spanish if you're interested. I'd like to learn many expressions in your native language and share expressions in Spanish as well. Exchange experiences, thoughts, abilities, recipes, etc.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am also a tidy, clean and helpful guest. I would definitely cook something for you or bring you coffee from Colombia.
