About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Allowing myself to go wherever the wind takes me and learning from the people I encounter along the way!

ABOUT ME

I try to keep an open mind and to keep things simple. I can be pretty indecisive sometimes, but equally so, I like to ´go with the flow´ and feel I´m fairly flexible and patient. I enjoy having fun, learning, and trying new things as much as the next person!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am a newcomer to the CS project so I can´t say that I´ve participated too much so far, especially since I am currently travelling. However, I have heard amazing things about the community and I love the concept. I am very interested in participating more in the future!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Once again, I am new to the CS community, so I have no experiences within the network. However, outside of the project, I have informally 'couch surfed' and really enjoyed the experiences I have had. By meeting people and being invited into their homes, I have explored communities and met people I would otherwise not have! These experiences have enriched my trips and are some of my most cherished memories. One of my most memorable experiences was travelling in Nicaragua and meeting a woman selling household items on the coast, but who actually lived in a small village in the centre of the country. We hit it off immediately and before parting ways she invited me to her home. When I took her up on the offer, I found myself in a remote, tiny village with very 'little to do' except for having conversations with the people in the community, sharing meals, go swimming in the river....I felt completely welcomed and humbled by the experience, and was changed by this opportunity to crash at my new friend´s home.

Interests

The simple pleasures of life :) Good company, conversation, food, etc. I love spending time in nature hiking and wandering around, and looking at the stars. I enjoy the arts and dabble in some painting/drawing and writing. Meeting new people and working on my spanish skills are also ways I like to pass the time. I like exploring new things and watching my interests grow over time....
