About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My mission is to be open to new experiences and just see what happens.
ABOUT ME
When I first meet people I tend to be quiet and reserved, but when people take time to get to know me I think they are usually surprised (pleasantly, I hope) that I have a wacky sense of humor and am willing to try just about anything once. I'm easy going and have been jokingly called Martha Stewart because I like to cook for my and do projects. I don't like to be too serious, so I'm random at times. True fact: as a child I wanted to be an Eskimo.
PHILOSOPHY
I suppose that I believe in Karma or "what goes around comes around" and so I try to be a decent human being and treat everyone with respect. I think people often times get bent out of shape for insignificant reasons and so I remind myself to keep the larger picture in mind when something tries my patience.
I believe all people are connected on some level that can't really be defined. I must have had some obnoxious moments as a child because there is one outside now. Karma.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm new to couchsurfing and just recently had my first experience in Armenia. A couple friends and I stayed with a very lovely American couple who made us french toast for breakfast.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't have a very good memory for book or movie titles, but right now I'm reading "Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley. I enjoy comedies, dramas, and an occasional psychological thriller. I know I really enjoyed "Butterfly Effect."
My taste in music is eclectic. I like rock, pop, classical, folk, sometimes even heavy metal. Some of my favorites are Beatles, Trampled by Turtles, Dvorak, Stravinsky, Weezer, and Billy Joel.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing I've done in my life is to have the guts to randomly accept a teaching job in Korea even though at the time I felt I was not at all qualified. It's opened up so many opportunities for me.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you to read music or how to cook a traditional Minnesota hot dish.
