About Me

I'm an italian guy living near Florence, currently about to finish my graduation in agricultural college, specialized in local fauna.
I like artistic photography, animals and videogames. I'm usually positive about the future because I think life can always be surprising in ways you can find at least interesting.
I also think a life worth living is one which you can experience the most out of the world: travel, know people, build beautiful memories.
I'm not a guy that had a lot of experiences of the world himself: that's why I intend to change that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I usually found myself dreaming about visiting a lot of distant places, but never actually had the chance to travel a lot because of money, time and other reasons.
Since I almost always try to save money in everything, I'd rather search for humble and cheap ways to travel instead of going in expensive hotels that I wouldn't even have the chance to enjoy since I'd rather visit cities.
I also try to improve my english by actually have the chance to speak it instead of only reading it.

Interests

For some years I studied and experimented artistic photography by myself. I'm not good at it by any means, but I enjoy taking some good photo from time to time.

I'm a "computer" guy, I like playing videogames a lot, surfing the web, listening to music and reading articles on the internet.

I like reading, I'm trying to catch up with the most famous "classics" in the literature, and also enjoying lots of italian writers (Italo Calvino, Stefano Benni, Dino Buzzati, etc.)

I enjoy a lot being in touch with the nature: I live in the countryside near Florence and I was always fascinated the natural world, the ecosystem and its biology, studying the flora and the fauns living in such places.
My ideal job is one involving environment or local animal populations.

Music, Movies, and Books

Even if I don't read tons of books every year, I enjoy reading classics, novels with any setting (fantasy, sci-fi, etc...) and everything I find attractive in a specific moment.
My favourite books are Se una Notte di Inverno un Viaggiatore (by Italo Calvino, an italian writer), American Gods by N. Gaiman and 1984 by Orwell.
I love reading Kipling, George RR Martin, Douglas Adams and Terry Pratchett.

About movies... I'm not a fan of them. I like animation, adventure and action movies I can easily enjoy with my friends. I like movies that makes you laugh more than the ones that makes you sad or scared. My favourite movie is Pulp Fiction (ok, that's not very "funny" in a strict sense... but it's enjoyable indeed!)

I love to listen all kinds of music. I like very much rock/heavy metal, but I try to expand my knowledge to every kind of genre. I listen to Beatles as well as Metallica; from Moby to Queen, from Lady GaGa to Vivaldi, from The Prodigy to Bob Marley to Weird Al to movies soundtracks.
My favourites artists are Pink Floyd, Metallica, Daft Punk, Iron Maiden, Parov Stelar, Simon&Garfunkel, Queen, The Beatles, Gorillaz and more.
I listen to many italian artists, if you need any information and advices about them just ask away!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did a lot of things that were amazing for me but not for everyone else: actually try camping in the woods at night, losing 20Kg on a diet, driving very far from my city overcoming my fear of highways, falling in love with someone after so many years thinking I would never make that mistake.
I think the most beautiful experiences are the one that are amazing for yourself alone.

Hopefully one day I will say that the most amazing thing I could have done is coachsurfing!

Teach, Learn, Share

Before teaching things to someone I actually have to learn something. That's why I'm here!

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Italy, Slovenia, Switzerland, Turkey
