Overview
About Me
I'm a big, calm guy who already lived in many parts of Germany and is often on the road. I don't like to get in trouble and as such you probably won't have many political or controversial discussions with me. As my parents come from Romania I always have been interested in the different cultures of the earth. Many people would describe me as overly hospitably. I'm spontaneous and can laugh about a lot of things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
You can never have enough friends around the globe.
Also I know the feeling of getting to a foreign place and not having the money for a hotel or not wanting to stay there because you would only sit lonely in the room, watching TV and waiting for the next day.
It's better to get to know locals who can show you the sweet spots of the place you are visiting and whom you can share your new experiences with.
Actually I just now found out about this whole thing as I was researching for my trip to Japan in March 2016 and I immediately thought it'd be great.
Interests
Me and my friends are highly interested in cars and especially oldtimers and working on them. I myself have e.g. an '72 Datsun 510, which unfortunately is at my parent's place.
I love going to bars and to chill and talk.
Everything relaxed I am a fan of.
Food! Food is important. I have many insider tips of great places to eat all around Germany. Share your food experiences with me!
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: open to a lot of different styles
Movies: I would call myself a little cineast with preference for a wide variety of highly sophisticated but also classical "popcorn-cinema"-movies
Books: everything from Douglas Adams; generally ironic but intelligent litature
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think the most influential experience of my life was a social year between school and university. It was the year that Germany got rid of the compulsory military service, where you could have done a social year instead. So it was completely my own choice to do it. I worked at a "kindergarden" for old people and never experienced such thankfulness for my help. Also I learned to act responsible and I think I grew up more in that year than during my whole childhood (also I'm still childish). A good side effect was that I got to know my wonderful girlfriend at a education event in context of this work. Good things happen to good people.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn everything about your culture.
I can teach you technical facts about machines and especially cars if you are interested. All in all I would say I have a rather big general knowledge, so just ask anything and I will try to help as always. I honestly don't know what to write here.
