As a person I'm calm and easy-going and I love to talk, listen and learn with an open-minded soul. I use to say that I'm a non-practicing buddhist even though I know that's kind of a paradox :)

I'm a non-smoker and prefer non-smoking homes and guests. I love animals - especially cats (but dogs are adorable too), but don't have any myself.

As a guest I'll of course take very good care of your apartment and leave it just a nice as I arrived. And as a host I'll make sure that my home is nice and cleaned and with a manual and a lot of info of Copenhagen. I have quite a few paperbacks in English which you are more than welcome to enjoy - but more about that in the information about the flat.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I love to travel (OK, well, that's quite obvious, I guess :)) and have been to the US, Spain, France, Italy, England, Sweden, Germany, Belgium, Turkey, Greece, Japan, Norway, Lebanon, Poland, the Netherlands etc. Sometimes I travel for comfort, sometimes I just need a place to stay.

I'm always looking for places to inspire my writing. I've studied abroad at Columbia University, Missouri, US, and used to work as a journalist and an editor for several Danish news channels and a few media houses (print and digital). Today I have my own PR-agency - practicing 'responsible PR' for selected customers with high standards. This makes it easy for me to work from almost everywhere with a good WiFi-connection. And I love to host guests!

Interessen

I was born curious which is a blessing and a curse. I guess I'm a news addict, but I try to control my urge always to be updated on current events. I love food - especially from kitchens such as the Italian, French, Japanese, Indian, Scandinavian, Lebanese, American etc.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I listen to a wide range of music. From old 50 records to the newest on the charts. From Al Green to Jessie J. I love great voices such as Amy Winehouse, cool house as Justice, DJ's as David Guetta and Klaas, Billie Holliday and Nancy Sinatra for the classics, bands as Depeche Mode and The Beatles, pop such as Icona Pop (OK, that was easy ;)) and Robyn, newer stuff such as The Weeknd and Hozier and...oh, you get the picture :)

Movies...now really, don't get me started. But I love the classics such as The Godfather and Taxi Driver, films as Lost In Translation and Broken Flowers, Spanish films (Sex and Lucía and Almodovar), 80's hits as Back To The Future, Ghostbusters and The Secret of My Succes, 90's classics as Pulp Fiction and Doc Hollywood and many, many more. Tv-series are getting better and better and I especially love Breaking Bad, True Detective and House of Cards - oh and "The Jinx" although that's more a mini documentary (which I love too ;)).

Books - well, have a look at my bathroom ;) Bret Easton Ellis, Jay McInerney and Albert Camus are the favorites. Right now I'm reading Erlend Loe.

Haha...hm...oh, can't choose. Travelwise it's perhaps that I bicycled from Copenhagen to Paris two years ago.
