About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see the world, things dangerous to come to, to see behind walls, draw closer, to find each other, and to feel. That is the purpose of my life.

ABOUT ME

I'm a friendly, outgoing, interested and interesting guy from Denmark. I'm very sporty and competitive, which have lead me to one of my passions, triathlon. I love being around, learning from, teaching and working with other people. These are passions I use in a self developing camp for teenagers back in Denmark called Camp True North, where I work as a part of the staff.

PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy is to create as much happiness in this world as possible. This could be your own happiness, but also the happiness of others, even people I dont know. You cannot compromise other peoples happiness for your own, but you have to take care of yourself first, because you can't spread happiness to others if you are not happy yourself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One day when I were 16 years old I came home to a stranger in the house. During a walk through the woods my mom had spotted a woman camping and asked why. The woman was travelling through Europe and told her that she had been camping out in the woods to save money. My mom immediately asked the woman if she wanted to stay with us and voila, we had our first couchsurfer.
Since then I have travelled, surfed and couchsurfed the eastcoast of Australia, learning so much about the Australian people, the land of Australia and my myself. After that trip I went to USA, where I also had an amazing trip surfing and couchsurfing, down the east- and west coast.
Besides that I'm a new couchsurfer, but I think it's an amazing idea and I want to be a part of it.

Interests

I'm interested in sports, people, challenges and new/funny/learning experiences. Anything that can give me the feeling of tranquility, the feeling of having grown wiser or the feeling of belonging, the feeling of being in the right place.
During my travels in Australia I picked up another passion, SURFING.

  • triathlon
  • traveling
  • bouldering
  • camping
  • surfing
  • sports
  • rockclimbing

Music, Movies, and Books

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty with Ben Stiller is an amazing film. The sets, the plot, the morale of the story and the acting is just awesome. I had that feeling of tranquility and deep thought after watching it and it just sparked my need for travel, discovery and new experiences even more!

I have a very broad taste in music, but I am a great fan of classics, pop, rock, whatever.
My main genres though is indie, rock, rap and pop.
Besides the international music I listen to a lot of danish artist who, I think, should be internationally known on the same level as John Mayer, Adele, etc.

I read fantasy books, feel-good books, horizon-broadening books and popular scientific magazines.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing choice I have made in my life, was to choose a positive and open mindset.
This have led me to amazing experiences like:
Dream jobs, with a plural S.
Bestfriends, also with a plural S.
A tight and happy core family with my brother and my divorced parents.
Several Ironman distance triathlons.
Breathtaking sights and experiences.

Teach, Learn, Share

A thing I've learned is that nothing happens without reason. Nothing is meaningless, unless you don't find the meaning. Basic explanation:
I wasted 200 dollars at the casino, stupid mistake, but not useless. Now I know I don't gamble.
You don't make a mistake until you chose not to learn from your mistakes.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Kenya, Laos, Mexico, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, United States, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
