About Me

CURRENT MISSION

seeing the world through different perspectives - getting to know different people

ABOUT ME

I'm a young and open-minded guy who wants to see and experience the world. During my school time I had the unbelievably great opportunity to take part in many exchange programmes (UK, France, Spain, Israel) and to meet so many wonderful people in these countries. Looking back, I think that this really shaped the way I see the world.
I really enjoy the company of nice people that share their stories and views. But I also value to spend some quiet moments in nature and to have some time for my own.
So this is by far not all about me... but I hope it gives you a rough idea of who I am ;)

PHILOSOPHY

"Es ist nicht deine Schuld, dass die Welt ist wie sie ist. Es wär nur deine Schuld, wenn sie so bleibt."
(Die Ärzte)

Here is an English translation that I came up with:

"You cannot be blamed for how the world is right now. But you will have to take the blame if it does not change for the better."

Interests

films, politics, hiking, cycling, salsa, other people & cultures ... life in general :)

  • politics
  • movies
  • cycling
  • hiking

Music, Movies, and Books

I love films and the cinema!!! Though my factual knowledge on films is quite poor and love to watch and discuss them. Among my favourite films are: "Le Havre", "The Dark Knight" and "The Jungle Book".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen/met people that amazed me because...
... they are true to their ideals
... they coped with difficult situations and were always optimistic

and I am always amazed when I see the sea (one reason why i am glad that I go to Aberdeen).
