I am currently living in France, where I am a postdoctoral fellow in mathematics. But don't worry, I do have (some) social skills! :P

I am originally from Brazil and I have lived in France during my Phd and in Canada for three years afterwords. Traveling is something which I love and that I am (luckily) able to do quite often.

I also love to eat. Some years ago, I would say that I like to cook, but I think this is a little imprecise :) I normally eat everything, with a particular interest for dishes from new countries. I love to go to restaurants and to cook with other people, even if I am not the most impressive cook.

Besides all of that, I also like going to bars and having funny conversations about anything! Oh, and sports. I do love sports of all kinds (specially football).

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I first got in Couchsurfing five years ago, when I was a PhD student. It was the first time I was leaving abroad and completely by myself.

At that moment, Couchsurfing was a way to travel and meet people. I did not know the language, nor the culture of my new country (France). But I could meet with locals and with travelers alike, share good moments, help out people which were passing by, and make friends (even if only for a week).

So, I guess I was in Couchsurfing to meet interesting people and to share good moments! It has been two years since I last used the website and I think it is time to try it again :D

Interessen

I love movies, music and science. I love writers that can really describe people and their feelings, like, for example: Machado de Assis, Shakeaspere, Simenon. In the field of movies, I guess Woody Allen is one of my favorities directers, but I can't lie, I love american movies two. Not having to think a lot is quite nice too.

I love sports too: soccer, football, tennis, basketball, etc etc.

I also like going out, expecially to bars... if they are different for anyreason, the better. It can be a big bar with a lot of people, or a small one, in a little street forgoten, on the middle of France... doesn't matter, as long as I've got good company!
