Between two long study periods I want to make a present for me and my girlfriend and see the world :)

ABOUT ME

I was born in Latvia, lived there for 18 years, but went to Russia in order to get higher education.

Here I grew up a little, figured out my own life philosophy. Met a great girl, several friends, fall in love with Chinese language and culture. I liked this great city St.Petersburg so much that worked as a tour guide here, not being an inhabitant. This helped me to brush up my English, know more about history of the city, get a little confidence.

Now I plan to study for Masters degree in Europe. But I do not exclude my returning back here if there still is a place for me.

PHILOSOPHY

"To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often." No matter what you do, do it better tomorrow, otherwise it is a waste of time.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Me and particularly my girlfriend was heavily involved in AISEC Russia organization. She managed several volunteering projects, when students from other countries come in Russia live here for free and help entertaining orphant's several hours a week. I helped her by helping students - showed them the city, assisted for the first days to get into a groove.

兴趣

Professional interests connected with technical stuff like microprocessors, programming, electrical machines.
Languages: the more languages I can speak, the more people can hear me.
Reading books, watching and playing football, visiting theaters (there are many of them in Russia)

Books: too many favorites, for the last time - Shantaram, Stephen King, political history, memoirs, popular science

Music: classical rock, russian rock (regretfully I don play at all)

Sports: swimming and football are my passions, but I also can play or watch almost everything

Don't suppose that anything like a parachute jump pretends to be amazing. Usually these things are invisible for others. by the way, I haven't jumped yet)
