I am Andres Velez, I was born and raised in Colombia, I am 31 years old, I am an electronic engineer and currently work as a software developer. I currently live in Santa Rosa de Cabal, Colombia. I enjoy music, I can play the guitar and sing (I am currently part of my city's choir), and I am a Christian.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to explore different countries around the world, learn about various cultures, languages, and ways of thinking. I love being with people from different cultures and learning from them.

I believe that through Couchsurfing, I can get to know the places I will travel to much better and have a more genuine experience, far more than staying in a hotel in the traditional way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have had the opportunity to host several friends from Russia and the United States in my home, whom I met through the language exchange app Tandem. I was able to learn from them and show them Colombia.

One amazing thing I have had the opportunity to experience is having a romantic relationship with an incredible woman from Eurasia. I was able to learn from her, and she from me, and we explored magnificent places in Colombia together.
