关于我

I’m from North Carolina, originally from Venezuela. Travel for me is not just about moving from one place to another—it’s about discovery, connection, and transformation. Every trip, becomes a chance to learn something about people, culture, and myself.

I founded Step Outside Raleigh, a community-based initiative where I bring people together—especially hispanics to explore nature, culture, and personal growth through group adventures. I believe that travel is a way to step outside of our routines and rediscover life with curiosity.

I love meeting people from all walks of life, sharing stories, and hearing about their worlds. For me, travel is about connection more than destinations—sharing a meal, a deep conversation while walking around a new place is worth more than any souvenir.

I have a background in psychology, which probably explains why I’m fascinated by how people grow when they step out of their comfort zones. Whether it’s hiking, road-tripping, or simply walking through a new neighborhood, I see travel as a tool for reflection and joy.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Because travel is not about ticking boxes—it’s about people. Staying with locals or hosting travelers opens the door to authentic experiences and connections that last beyond the trip itself.

兴趣

Travel is my biggest passion—I’m happiest when I’m discovering new places, whether that’s hiking up a mountain, exploring historic towns, or wandering aimlessly through city streets. I’m a big fan of culture and history, the little stories that make each place feel alive, and I love sharing them over good food or coffee. Music follows me everywhere: salsa, Latin jazz, and even a bit of progressive rock often set the soundtrack for my adventures. I enjoy cooking simple Venezuelan meals (arepas are my specialty), trying local flavors, and capturing moments through photos and stories. What excites me most, though, are the conversations—those late-night talks about life, dreams, and cultures that make traveling unforgettable.

音乐、电影和书籍

Music is one of my favorite ways to travel without moving. I love progressive rock for its creativity and storytelling, with bands like Pink Floyd often on my playlists. I’m also drawn to jazz fusion and Latin jazz, which bring rhythm and energy to my days. At other times, I enjoy more atmospheric sounds—artists like Enya, Dead Can Dance, or Stephan Micus—especially when I want to reflect or relax. My taste is eclectic: sometimes I follow the beat, other times I follow the mood, but music is always a big part of how I connect with people and places. I learned Indian Carnatic music as well as western classical.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I lived in India and study music there for a year!

教,学,和分享

I enjoy sharing what I’ve learned through travel and life. I can teach practical tips for planning trips, discovering hidden gems, and even how to see your own city with fresh eyes. I also teach English in real-life settings—cafés, markets, or city walks—where language feels natural and fun. My background in psychology helps me bring in tools for personal growth and reflection. Recently, I’ve also been introducing beginners to ChatGPT, showing how it can be a creative partner for learning, work, and daily life. And of course, I love talking about music and helping people discover new sounds to make their own travel soundtracks.

I love creating moments of connection wherever I go. With me, you can expect good conversation, curiosity, and respect for your space. I enjoy cooking simple Venezuelan meals (yes, I can make you arepas!), sharing playlists that range from salsa and Latin jazz to progressive rock, and telling stories from my travels and community projects.

Because of my background in psychology, I tend to see every encounter as an opportunity to learn about people and cultures, so late-night chats about life, philosophy, or music are some of my favorite things. I’m also happy to lend a hand around the house, help tidy up, or even plan a small adventure if time allows.

More than anything, I bring a genuine interest in people and a positive, easygoing spirit. I hope to leave behind good memories, a laugh, or maybe even a new song you hadn’t heard before.
