About Me

Musician and animal lover checking out the cool vegetarian spots, underground venues, DIY spaces, art galleries, record stores, book shops, college radio stations...

Born and raised in Miami and graduated from Florida State University in Tallahassee. Go Seminoles!

Interests

Listening to, playing, reading about, writing about, and collecting music. Vegan food: almost anything besides olives. As a former college radio DJ, I'm big into college radio and public radio. Reading contemporary American literary fiction, essay collections, creative non-fiction. Crossword puzzles; I'm intermediate. I'll try to do karaoke in every city that I visit.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Human Traffic, Clerks, Trainspotting, Enter The Void, Waking Life, Adaptation, Better Off Dead, Being John Malkovich (big sucker for John Cusack), Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Imposter and music documentaries.

Authors: Bret Easton Ellis, David Foster Wallace, Joyce Carol Oates, Paul Auster

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Throughout 2014, I founded and coordinated a monthly arts variety show in Tallahassee showcasing visual art, film screenings, poetry readings, 3D installations and music performances. It's called Trading Cards Tallahassee. With the help of some talented friends, we had five separate events which drew in touring bands, out of town artists, published writers and FSU faculty. It was rad!

A friend and I took a bicycle trip from Philadelphia to Baltimore in summer 2016.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share stories of where I've been and what I've seen, play you some music if you have a guitar or a piano, jam with you, share some music that I enjoy.
