ABOUT ME

I live in between cities. My feet are in Barcelona, my head in Helsinki.

I like meeting new people and exploring different cultural backgrounds. The cultural shock amuses me. That's when you have to let go of any inhibitions and go with the flow!

I can talk for hours about so many things that sometimes I wonder how is it possible.

I always have a song in my head. It's like carrying my own particular soundtrack with me! Or maybe that's the excuse I give myself so I don't admit I have an ear-worm stuck in my head!

So far, I am just a member. But that's what makes the difference!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed in two different cities while I backpacked around Finland, and it was wonderful.

While the stay in Oulu felt really short, it was also intense and filled with a wide variety of topics that were discussed. Mostly cultural differences. I guess that's one of the easiest conversations.

On the other hand, in Helsinki, it turned to be a major discovery of the hippie way of life. While we didn't have big conversations, we sure enjoyed a 3-4 hour jamming with guitars, didgeridoos and hand-crafted wonders.

Interests

Travelling, languages, cultures, music. I am not sure in which order!

I am a sailor and a surfer. Kite-surfing is the next thing on my list!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies:
- Sci-fi. Nearly everything in this field works!
- Comedies
- Into The Wild
- The Big Lebowski
- Captain Fantastic

Music:
I think I appreciate most sorts of music. But I think my limits are in the rave-zone.
I am into Electroswing, lately. One of my favourite bands is Goldfish, from South Africa. They never disappoint.
Also a die hard rock and roll fan. Pink Floyd is where I orbitate these days.
I play the electric bass.

Books:
I've read most of the "hypes" around. From Harry Potter to Hunger Games. I am into Game of Thrones.

Authors I would recommend: Lovecraft and Isaac Asimov. Both amazing. I've just red Virgina Woolf's A Room of One's Own and it was mind-blowing.
My newest acquisition is: Why Men Don't Listen & Women Can't Read Maps.

I've had my fair dose of philosophy too: F. Nietzche, R. Descartes, D. Hume.

But my favourite book is "On The Road", by Jack Kerouac.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A few years ago, during the summer, I decided to go sailing one afternoon in the Mediterranean, Cap de Creus, and I had the pleasure to meet a small group of dolphins who tagged along for a long 15-minute sprint.

It's the kind of experience that gives me goosebumps each time I think of it!
