About Me

Im a chef from the Chicago area, in New Orleans for a little while to save up money then plan on traveling the US more then on to Europe...
Update, made it to Europe currently in Dublin, Ireland and will be moving onward in the next week or so! I need somewhere here until then to crash, as much as I love the hostel, I feel like I'm spending too much time here (partly the weather) and I'm also on a super low budget.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couch surfing to connect with people who travel as well as to find a place to crash (obviously), and when I get home hopefully have the privilege of hosting others myself!

Interests

I'm very into cooking and music, definitely my main two passions. I love to go to concerts, I hadn't been to enough since I moved to New Orleans though, sadly. I also play music in a band, and also solo (I like street performing the most, mostly because everyone outside passing by has a chance to get a random glimpse rather than playing for the same crowd). When I return I do plan on starting my own food-related business. I have big plans.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love pretty much all music, but I'd say folk punk, jazz, punk, and classic rock are what hits me the most. Movies, I have a pretty sporadic taste, not really anything specific, I don't like spending too much time in front of the television. Books, I really enjoy poetry books, non-fiction, and anything from around the beat generation (Kerouac, Ginsberg, etc. ) With the occasional horror or sci-fi.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've done a lot of amazing things, that's for sure, but I think this very trip takes the cake already, so far that is.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can throw down pretty hard in the kitchen, so I can cook you dinner and even teach you a thing or two. I can share philosophical and life wisdom, or at least I tend to think so. I'm also good for playing cards or just conversation in general. People tell me I'm funny, I think it's just natural satire.
